1. About these terms
By using this website or booking a service, you agree to these terms. "We" and "us" means Louis's Exterior Services. "You" means the person using the site or booking the work.
2. Quotes and pricing
- Quotes are free and you're never obligated to book.
- Your written quote shows the full price for the work described. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges.
- If you ask for extra work, or we find something that changes the job, we'll explain it and get your OK before doing anything that costs more.
- Estimates from this website or over the phone are a starting point. The price on your written quote is the one that applies.
3. Scheduling and weather
We'll agree on a date and time with you. Rain, wind and other unsafe conditions may require us to reschedule. Weather reschedules never cost you anything.
4. Your part
- Give us safe access to the work areas, including gates.
- Provide an outdoor water spigot for washing jobs, and an outdoor outlet for lighting jobs, unless we agree otherwise.
- Keep pets and children away from the work area while we're working.
- Tell us about anything fragile, damaged or hazardous before we start.
5. Existing conditions
Older surfaces sometimes have problems that cleaning reveals but doesn't cause, like loose shingles, failing paint, cracked concrete, worn sealant or rotted wood. We'll point out anything we notice before we start. We aren't responsible for conditions that existed before our work.
6. Payment
Payment is due when the work is complete, unless your written quote says otherwise. If a job needs a deposit, for example to buy materials for a permanent lighting installation, your quote will say so before you agree.

8. Products we install
Lighting products and other materials are covered by their manufacturers' warranties. We'll help you with a warranty claim if a product we installed fails. Product names such as Govee belong to their owners, and we aren't affiliated with or endorsed by them.
9. Photos of our work
We may photograph our work to document the job and to show examples on our website or social media. We won't show your name, house number or address. If you'd rather we not use photos of your property, just tell us.
10. Website content
The text, logo, photos and design on this website belong to us or are used with permission. Please don't copy them for commercial use without asking.
11. Limits of liability
We carry out our work with care. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job, and we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under California law that can't be waived.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by California law. If a dispute comes up, we'll first try to resolve it with you directly. If that doesn't work, it will be handled in the courts of Contra Costa County, California.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page, with its effective date, is the one that applies.
